Bicycle Rental Review

Product Information

I rented a FUJI Roubaix from Got Bikes. I was a bit skeptical as this was my first time renting a “real” bike. The bottom line is everything went great and I could not have been more happier.

Although James was late for out appointment, (it was a last minute thing and he said we would try to fit me in), when he showed up all went well from there.

James is a real biker, with tons of experience, so that is a good start. I have never been on a Fuji but I ride a specialized roubaix with ultegra everything so I was just hoping that it would be good enough. The bike was in fact great (although not as good as mine). It wanted to climb and was so dang good that if I was shopping for a bike I would have to consider it.

I did a couple rides that I really enjoyed. The first was from downtown, up Sierra Rd, around the back and then back downtown. It was not far, about 25 or so, but the climb of about 2,000 feet straight up was really tough for me. I mapped it on Map MY Ride and this is a cat 1 climb. The pics are from the top. The scenery was great, the road was clean, with very little traffic. I need to train hard to be able to do this without killing myself.

The other ride I really liked was in Alum Park. At the end of the parking lot on the left is a road that goes up the side of the hill. If you continue, (past the signs that say not to), you go for a great, not very steep, ride. It goes through some very pretty valleys and I saw almost no one. It climbs about 2000 feet also, but it is not steep, so it is way easier than Sierra. The other pics areĀ from that ride.

All in all, great experience, great rides and I would do it again in a heartbeat
